EASY CARD FRONT WITH STAMPIN' UP! PETALS WASHI AND SPECIALTY DSP

Hi, Stampers!
This lovely card was so easy to create.  The 3-1/2 x 5 top layer is a section of one of the sheets in the Pressed Petals Specialty DSP (12 x 12).  This particular page is sectioned off into gorgeous photographic florals and backgrounds that are perfect for card fronts and scrapbook pages.  I made the 3D flowers accents on this particular floral wreath piece of DSP from the Pressed Petals Specialty Washi Tape in the Annual Catalog (p.172).

Hello, Stampers!
We are making this pop-up slider card at my stamp camp this month.  I learned how to make it, where else?  YouTube!  You can find Elaine Schader's wonderful video tutorial there:  "Slide and Pop cards - Elaine's Creations."  Don't be intimidated.

STAMPIN' UP! SAILING HOME THROUGH STORMY SEAS

Hello, Stampers!
The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this particular pattern in the wonderfully colorful See a Silhouette Designer Series Paper, was a storm at sea.  So... I grabbed my Sailing Home Bundle because it is perfect for that theme, but I also made a second one using the sentiment, "Let hope be your lighthouse..." from the High Tide set.

STAMPIN' UP!'S BACK ON YOUR FEET FOR BEGINNERS CARD BUFFET

Hello, Stampers!
I hope you are able to stay reasonably cool during this miserable heat wave.  It looks like it might break overnight here in Indiana - I emphasize the word might.  I have used this good excuse to stay indoors to begin preparing for a card-making "outing" a professional friend of mine has planned for her staff early in August.  Each year the office closes for a day and she plans and treats her staff to a surprise outing - last year they did goat Yoga!  This class will certainly be a far cry from that.  They will do something outdoors for part of the day and then to my house - they have never stamped!
I pre-stamped all of the images for these note cards (based on cards shared on Pinterest by Amy Koendors, using the Scalloped Note Cards).  My group will stamp their own sentiments and, of course, color and assemble.  I even pre-tied the bows and, per a tip from my upline, attached them to a strip of glue dots!

STAMPIN' UP!'S COUNTRY ROAD IN COPPER

Hi, Stampers!
Stampers at my July camp could make either one of these cards and could also reverse mat colors, etc.  However, all of the weather vanes are heat embossed with Copper EP.
On the focal point piece, the light backgrounds were stamped, then we used the Embossing Buddy before stamping with Versamark and heat embossing.  The feint backgrounds are from the Gallery Grunge set and stamped with Crumb Cake Ink, some stamped off first. The stars on the card on the right are stamped in Balmy Blue, stamped off, first.  The sentiment is in Early Espresso.
The focal points are 3 x 2-1/4 WW Thick CS.  The colored CS is Pool Party and Early Espresso.  The focal point is lightly sponged around the edge with Crumb Cake and the white mat with Balmy Blue.

FREE AS A BIRD IN THE WOODS

Hi, Stampers!
This is such a lovely stamp set - so many color options for the birds!  We used the Free as a Bird Bundle for this card.  The focal point is stamped on Shimmery White CS with Memento ink and colored with Blends.  It was die-cut with the largest of the Stitched Nested Labels Dies that are part of this bundle.
The card base is Pool Party and the embossing folder is Woodland.  The “ribbon” is Braided Linen Trim, the other embellishments are Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins. We used the Woodland embossing folder for the raised mat layer.  Really pretty simple.
You can find links to the supplies used - just click "Read in browser."

EASY STAMPIN' UP! MEMORABLE MOSAIC/MOSAIC MOOD DSP CARD

Hello, Stampers!
Here is another card from my July Stamp Camp - so quick and easy!  I love this Specialty DSP with the glossy details.
The card base is Terracotta Tile and a couple of the smaller images of the stamp set are stamped on it, also with Terracotta Tile.  The DSP is 3-7/8" square, mounted on Soft Suede, and the sentiment is stamped on with Soft Suede on Very Vanilla.  We added short tails of 5/8" burlap ribbon.
The inside is Very Vanilla with a strip of the DSP down the right side.
Supplies are listed below - click "Read in browser."

MEMORABLE MOSAIC - July 2019 STAMP CAMP and CHANGE IN AUGUST STAMP CAMP DATE

Hi, Stamper's!
We created a version of this card at Stamp Camp this past Saturday - stampers had options as to sentiments.  This particular sentiment is embossed with White EP and it is from the Painted Glass stamp set.  We also stamped a butterfly from that set inside the card.  The card stock colors above are Pear Pizzazz and Highland Heather, but we used different colors at camp - Rococo Rose and Mint Macaron.
Supplies and details are below - click "Read in browser."

STAMPIN' UP!® BACK ON YOUR FEET

Hello, Fellow Stampers!
Today we have a totally original idea by Sue!  LOL  Sadly, they are few and far between.  I was motivated to create this card by the fact a neighbor recently underwent back surgery and I doubted he would appreciate something flowery.  ;-)  So, let's get started.

Details
  • Whisper White Thick vertical card base with a mat of So Saffron or Daffodil Delight - I actually made two of these - and 5 x 3-3/4 Whisper White for the top layer.
  • I colored a dab of Embossing Paste (you don't need much) with a couple of drops of Cajun Craze Refill and added it using our brick-look mask.  I did not want it to be solid.
  • I hand-cut a 4" piece of Granny Apple Green CS to make it a little uneven and then used our retired Fringe Scissors to make the grass. You can just use Paper Snips.  I added the piece I had trimmed off at the bottom and sponged some color on it, added it with Liquid Glue to the WW and trimmed off the excess.
  • I stamped the turtle and butterfly in Memento onto Shimmery White CS, colored them with Blends and hand cut the turtle.  He is popped up with a couple of Dimensionals and a glue dot at the bottom, just below the top of the grass.  The small butterfly is from Butterfly Gala, colored with Light Daffodil and Light Cajun Craze Blends, punched out with the Butterfly Duet Punch, and added with a glue dot.
  • The sentiment is cut with a Gina K wonky rectangle die and adhered with glue dots. Any of the SU! dies would work just as well: Stitched Rectangles, Stitched Shapes, or plenty of our punches.
  • I stamped "Sigh ..". and "Sometimes that's all there is to say" on the inside of the card.  I covered up the bottom half of that sentiment with old Washi tape before inking, removed it and stamped and also added a little butterfly.

ROOTED IN NATURE "FLORAL" - June 2019 Stamp Camp

Hi, Stampers!
I cannot claim the clever use of these images as my own.  I've made only a couple of changes to the original I saw, I think, on Pinterest some time ago. If you follow me on Pinterest - Stamp with Sue - you'll see I posted several new cards on my SU! Rooted in Nature board while I was looking for the original of this "floral," because I do like to give credit.  Unfortunately, no luck - maybe you'll do better.  Anyway, let's get started!

STAMPIN' UP! VARIATION ON CATALOG SAMPLE - SAILING HOME BUNDLE - June Stamp Camp

Hi, Stampers!
We made this version of a Sailing Home SU! Annual Catalog sample (p.144).  The sample background was made with the Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Pack (p.145), but I don't have that, so we improvised using the retired TIEF, Seaside, because I don't have the new High Seas 3D Embossing Folder, either! (p.198).  So, you may ask, is this really a CAS of the Sample?  About as close as I could get with what I had.  ;-)  See?  You don't have to have every single product in order to create.  Please comment or email for a FREE Project Sheet!   Let's get started.

PAPER COASTER STICKY NOTES HOLDER* TUTORIAL - June 2019 STAMP CAMP

 Image © Stampin' Up!®
Hi, Stampers!
*With slight changes in the measurements and decoration, this old standby
Sticky Note Holder is a CAS from a YouTube Video by Angie Juda,Chic'nScratch.  You can find it by searching for “Gingham Gala Coaster Post It Notes” on YouTube.

Below is the step-by-step tutorial I created for stamp camp.  Use any of your favorite DSP's.  We used the retired Gingham Gala because I have plenty of it.  If you would like a FREE printable tutorial, leave a comment with your email address or send me an email!  Let's get started.

Happy Stampin’!
Sue Duffy ~

mandsduffy@comcast.net

NOTE:  My first change was to the size of the DSP for the cover.  The coasters are 3-1/2 x 3-1/2, same as Angie’s, but I enlarged the DSP measurement to 5 x 5 for easier handling.  (If you use 4x4 coasters, use 6x6 DSP.)  I changed the CS for the inside/binding to 6-7/8 x 3-1/4 and the scoring to 3-1/4 and 3-5/8 to allow for a full-size StickyNnote pad.  Angie used a half Sticky Note pad.
If you have any questions at all about this project, feel free to contact me.
