MANGO POPPIES THANK YOU NOTE with LABEL ME BOLD (again)

Image
Hello, Stampers! I'm glad Painted Poppies has carried over to the 2020-21 Annual Catalog ( and , it has been carried over as a 10% off Bundle with the Painted Labels dies).  Although I love the poppies DSP and have used it tons, I wanted to use something other than our usual reds, purples or pink, which seem a natural for this set.  Since I'm a big fan of Mango Melody, that'swthat I used . I wanted to keep this to no layers, so I stamped the flower with the "fill-in" stamp in the set with Mango Melody and added a little bit darker accents with the marker as opposed to Blends, which show through on the reverse.  The Label Me Bold "thank you" is stamped in Old Olive and popped up with Mini Dimensionals.   Not sure if you can see here, but I laid the note card face down on my Simply Scored and scored two lines, about 5/8" apart, across the front for just a little something extra. Hi, Stampers!      We created this card at my April 13 stamp camp.  Surprisingly, it is comprised of only two neutral colors - Night of Navy and Smoky Slate.  With the exception of the three little candy dots, I think it qualifies for SIP, too - just Stamps, Ink and Paper.  So, let's get started! Happy Stampin’! Sue Duffy ~ mandsduffy@comcast.net Details Basic A2 card sizes with a Whisper White Thick base, in this case with a top fold. Lightly ink the Crackle Paint background stamp in Smoky Slate, face up .  Lay the Whisper White top layer (3-3/4 x 5) on top of the inked stamp and press and smooth - pressing harder around the sides than in the middle area where you will stamp the horse.  Lightly sponge the edges with Smoky Slate. Stamp the trees once in Night of Navy in the upper left and once again without re-inking and slightly offset.  Stamp the "Go for it!" in Night of Navy in the upper right. Using Light and Dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends, l

Hola, Stampers!      Okay, so I really like the Flowering Desert set in the Occasions Catalog.  ;-)  I wanted to do something with some non-traditional colors because I thought that reflected the sentiment, "be your own kind of beautiful."   So, let's get started! Happy Stampin’! Sue Duffy ~ mandsduffy@comcast.net Instructions Sponge an area with Mango Melody on a Whisper White or Vanilla Note Card *Stamp saguaro cactus in Bermuda Bay or Pool Party, make smaller cactus by stamping parts with Flirty Flamingo, stamp yucca or aloe plant in Granny Apple Green or Lemon Lime Twist, and small yucca stems in Flirty Flamingo Punch out small flowers in Mango Melody CS, OR Grapefruit Grove Foil; add 1/" circle centers punched from Bermuda Bay CS and add flowers with Mini Glue Dots.
