INSPIRING IRIS VARIATIONS FOR EASY EASTER CARDS

Image
Hello, Stampers!      These are some easy variations for Easter greetings using the Inspiring Iris stamp set and various embossing folders, ribbon, etc.  I have added the colors, etc. below.  Use whatever embellishments you have!  We made the card at the top left at March stamp camp. STAMPIN' UP!'S BACK ON YOUR FEET FOR BEGINNERS CARD BUFFET

Image
Hello, Stampers!      I hope you are able to stay reasonably cool during this miserable heat wave.  It looks like it might break overnight here in Indiana - I emphasize the word might.  I have used this good excuse to stay indoors to begin preparing for a card-making "outing" a professional friend of mine has planned for her staff early in August.  Each year the office closes for a day and she plans and treats her staff to a surprise outing - last year they did goat Yoga!  This class will certainly be a far cry from that.  They will do something outdoors for part of the day and then to my house - they have never stamped!          I pre-stamped all of the images for these note cards (based on cards shared on Pinterest by Amy Koendors, using the Scalloped Note Cards).  My group will stamp their own sentiments and, of course, color and assemble.  I even pre-tied the bows and, per a tip from my upline, attached them to a strip of glue dots! TWO VERSIONS OF STAMPIN' UP!'s HOME TO ROOST - FREE with $50 ORDER DURING SAB

Image
Version 1 Hello, Stampers!      I love this stamp set - not just because it's FREE during Sale-A-Bration, but because it's just different and it can be colored in so many ways!  The rooster was stamped in Memento and we used a combination of Stampin' Blends and Stampin' Write Markers at stamp camp, but since we used Shimmery White CS.  You can also watercolor this handsome fellow on Shimmery White or WC paper.  We used the retired Snowflake Doilies in gold as an accent because my customers already have them and they, to me, look like feathers!  We added Gold Faceted Gems as an additional accent.        The card base and Tin Tile embossed layer are Tranquil Tide - both the embossed layer and the oval are popped up with Dimensionals.  In Version 1, the oval is the largest of the ovals from the Stitched Shapes Framelits.   We masked the rooster in order to stamp the background wheat (?) in regular and stamped-off Crumb Cake.   You'll have to vis it my B

EASY PEASY UPRIGHT CALENDAR

Hello, Stampers!      I found the template for these quick and easy calendars* on a YouTube replay of one of Barb Stamps' (Barb Mullikin') FB Live episodes.  I used a different sentiment, simplified it a little, and you can certainly pick whatever colors you want.  I'll set out measurements and instructions below, but you can find Barb's video under "Facebook Live Replay - Desk Calendar, ..."  Sorry, the copied link wouldn't work. *I ordered my Mini Calendars from Taylored Expressions - they are min.10 for $3, but, unfortunately, the s/h costs more than the calendars.  If you need quite a few, I doubt you would have to pay more shipping.  If you order soon, you'll have them in plenty of time to use for Christmas.         I will list products I used below. Happy Stampin’! Sue Duffy ~ mandsduffy@comcast.net Measurements Calendar easel:  3-3/4" x 10" and 3-3/4" x 5" Mat for DSP:  3-1/2" x 4-3/4"

COUNTRY HOME WITH TIN TILE COUNTRY HOME WITH BUFFALO CHECK Hello, Stampers!       Thought I'd share the fruits of my play time this weekend with my new goodies from the Holiday Catalog.  With the exception of the "walls," there aren't many obvious differences between them.  My milk can is supposed to look like it's standing on the wood plank floor - does it?      A couple of notes:  I colored the cattails with Copper Shimmer Paint and the cotton on the other card with Frost White Shimmer Paint, and on each added a little Wink of Stella here and there.  Let's get started. Measurements (same for each card unless noted) Thick White Card Stock base; score at 5-1/2 for vertical or 4-1/4 for horizontal card Balmy Blue Card Stock base for Tin Tile card, 5-1/4 x 4 piece for inside Whisper or Shimmery White scraps for milk can and flower arrangement (and for sentiment on Buffalo Check card) 4 x 5-1/4 Daffodil Delight Card Stock for mat on B
