BONUS DAYS COUPONS and TIMELESS TIDINGS PROJECT KIT

Image
Hello, Stampers!      As you can tell from yesterday's post, I'm still  working on my subject line issues.  Aaaaargh!        So, if today's post subject line is messed up, I'm hoping you all know enough to open it anyway because it's just to remind you that you only have two days to redeem the coupons you earned in August.      Also, the Timeless Tidings Project Kit is now on backorder   (#148028 $20 stamp set 148936 $20 CM p.33 HC ).  If you want to get on the list, you can still order it and it should be available at the end of October.  Still plenty of time to get your cards made because it is super easy to use.  It is a lovely kit (we used it the other day) and my cards  Sue Duffy ~ mandsduffy@comcast.net All images ©Stampin’ Up!® are done!

SU! COUNTRY HOME, TWO FOR TUESDAY

COUNTRY HOME WITH TIN TILE COUNTRY HOME WITH BUFFALO CHECK Hello, Stampers!       Thought I'd share the fruits of my play time this weekend with my new goodies from the Holiday Catalog.  With the exception of the "walls," there aren't many obvious differences between them.  My milk can is supposed to look like it's standing on the wood plank floor - does it?      A couple of notes:  I colored the cattails with Copper Shimmer Paint and the cotton on the other card with Frost White Shimmer Paint, and on each added a little Wink of Stella here and there.  Let's get started. Measurements (same for each card unless noted) Thick White Card Stock base; score at 5-1/2 for vertical or 4-1/4 for horizontal card Balmy Blue Card Stock base for Tin Tile card, 5-1/4 x 4 piece for inside Whisper or Shimmery White scraps for milk can and flower arrangement (and for sentiment on Buffalo Check card) 4 x 5-1/4 Daffodil Delight Card Stock for mat on B

VIBRANT GRACEFUL GLASS VELLUM FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Image
Hi, Stampers!      It's been a while since I've posted, I know.  I've been working on a scrapbook of our London and Paris trip this summer and as one who does not scrapbook (only one previous scrapbook, ever), it has been quite the project!  See what I mean?   How do you reduce 245 photos to a reasonably-sized scrapbook?!  LOL  There's a whole stack of photos still in my office!      Anyway, let's get to this Graceful Glass Vellum holiday/Christmas card.  The colors didn't show up as vibrant as I would have liked in this photo. The measurements are the same as the card we made at September Stamp Camp (posted Sept. 8). So let's get started!     Send me an email for a FREE project sheet. Sue Duffy ~ mandsduffy@comcast.net Measurements Very Vanilla Thick CS (you could use any color you like) - 4-1/4 x 11, score at 5-1/2, small scrap for sentiment "label" Whisper White - 3-1/4"- 3-1/2" square Wood Textures DSP - 3-1/2"

OPTION 2: FESTIVE FARMHOUSE SUITE HOLIDAY CARDS

Image
Hi, Stampers!      I made some changes, but the above cards are pretty much a CAS from the Holiday Catalog (pp.12-13) of the samples pictured for the Farmhouse Christmas Bundle. One of the reasons I had to have this set is the truck - love it!  And the fence can be used for any occasion, especially fun for Halloween.  I'm sure a few of you are thinking, "all those die-cuts, ugh!"  With your Stamparatus, you can mass-produce and stamp the die cuts in nothing flat!  Seriously.  I gave a little demo at Stamp Camp this month.

CAN"T WAIT TO TRY THIS DYNAMIC TIEF WITH THE COUNTRY LANE SUITE FOR FALL

Image
Images © Stampin' Up!® Hello, Stampers!      Where have you seen this pattern before?  Look up!  Is there a tin ceiling in one of your favorite restaurants?  I know of at least one here in Mooresville,  I love this Dynamic Embossing Folder, Tin Tile.  It is great with regular cardstock, foils and, especially with the tin-look Galvanized Metallic Paper on p.43 in the Holiday Catalog.   (I don't generally spray my cardstock first, as shown in the video above, and  it seems fine - try using an acetate shim instead.)      Here's a little $-saving tip for you:  Do you still have SU!'s Brushed Silver, Gold or Copper cardstock from years ago?  The Brushed Silver especially provides a very similar look to the new Galvanized Metallic Paper!  I'm looking forward to experimenting with it, the Country Home stamp set (perfect for Thanksgiving) and the Chicken Wire!  Stay tuned. ARTISTICALLY ASIAN IN POPPY - September Stamp Camp

Hi, Stampers!      To me, Poppy Parade is what I always call "Chinese red," so what better to use with the Artistically Asian set.  Although, to be precise, I believe the "writings" are Japanese. 😊Anyway... let's get started!   Sue Duffy ~ mandsduffy@comcast.net Measurements Very Vanilla Thick CS - 5-1/2 x 6-1/2, score at 2-1/4 on 6-1/2" side Very Vanilla CS - 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 Basic Black CS - 2-3/4 x 3-3/4 and 2 x 5-1/2 Poppy Parade CS - 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 Instructions Emboss 2-1/4" section of Thick V V with Petal Burst TIEF Dust Poppy Parade CS lightly with Embossing Buddy; stamp chrysanthemum image in Versamark and heat emboss with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder Stamp smaller V V CS piece with flower spray image in Memento; stamp writing/ symbol in Poppy Parade Adhere 5-1/2" Basic Black piece to right side of card base, aligning with right edge; adhere embossed Poppy Parade piece Adhere smaller V V piece onto 2-3/4" Basic Bl

DOUBLE-FRAMED STAIN GLASS "WINDOW " - September Stamp Camp

Image
Hi, Stampers!      If you missed Stamp Camp today, here's one of the - not as tedious as it looks - cards we created.  Last month, I saw a version of this framed stained glass idea on France Martin's blog (Frenchiestamps.com) and knew I had to attempt it.  It was easier than I thought, especially since I changed up and/or eliminated several steps and enlarged France's measurements a little to make it easier.  So, let's get started! Sue Duffy ~ mandsduffy@comcast.net Measurements Very Vanilla Thick CS (you could use any color you like) - 4-1/4 x 11, score at 5-1/2, scrap large enough to cut oval for sentiment and small die cut for inside, approx 3 x 2 Whisper White - 3-1/4"- 3-1/2" square Wood Textures DSP - 3-1/2" square and a second piece 3" or 3-1/4" square (3-1/4" will provide a wider top frame Graceful Glass Vellum - I used one 3x3 from a 6x6 sheet

OPTION 1: GATHER TOGETHER TO MAKE TIMELESS HOLIDAY CARDS - SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 10

Image
Hi, Stampers!      I apologize for the fuzzy image above.  This is the only one I could find online at this point.  You can see this Project Kit (yep, it's a kit) on p.33 in the Holiday Catalog.  Click the above image for a video of what's in the kit and helpful info. The cards are quite elegant and sophisticated, the stamp font is bold and pretty and, of course, can be used in the future.  I wanted to offer this stamp-a-stack option to you early, since once the catalog goes live on Wednesday, I think this kit is going to go fast - I've already seen it featured on several blogs.
