Hi, Stampers!      I made this little note card to enter the Less is More Challenge in about 10 minutes and then saw the challenge at AAA Cards - Made in Minutes.  So I used it to enter both!  Less is More Challenge #392 is titled "Shine a Light, "  AAA Cards Challenge #137 is titled "Made in Minutes."      I used Stampin' Up!'s Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes and a Paper Trey Ink set and dies I have had, literally, for years, called "Lighten Up."  I used Distress Oxide ink (Fossilized Amber) for the sponging and Versafine Onyx Black for the lamp base and sentiment.  A scrap of SU! Hiya, Stampers!     Today's card was created with the Piece of Cake Stamps/Punch Bundle and How Sweet It Is DSP (both are in the Occasions Catalog).  I love the bright colors in this paper pack.  In fact, I bought the DSP before I bought the Bundle!  I also really like the tongue-in-cheek sentiments.  The inside of my card says, "Who cares what the question is!"      Do you notice anything else about my card?  My cake stand is upside down!  LOL  Anyway, let's get started with measurement, etc. Happy Stampin’! Sue Duffy ~ mandsduffy@comcast.net Measurements      My card base is Coastal Cabana, a standard A2 Horizontal top-fold.  I embossed the front with the Polka Dot Basics TIEF.  The Gorgeous Grape CS piece is 4-1/4 x 2-3/4 and adhered to the base at an angle.  I think I should have made it a little bigger, like 4-1/2 x 3, so the embossing would show more.  I embossed it with the Dot to Dot TIEF (Occ. Hello, Stampers!      I picked up some new toys this past weekend at the Heirloom show in Danville, IN.  I purchased this book stamp and die set from Toomuchfunrubberstamps.      My sentiment and Peter Rabbit book title were created on my laptop after much trial and error.  I printed them on labels, added to card stock and punched out or die-cut.  The book is stamped on Whisper White in Crumb Cake and stamped again on the DSP in Soft Suede, then die-cut. glued, etc.  I used a retired tri-corner punch for the corners on the DSP, but there is a pretty punch that is current, called "Detailed Trio," on p.211 in the Annual Catalog.  The Fable Friends set also makes adorable baby cards, of course.     The main Stampin' Up! products I used are set out below on my blog.  Please do leave a comment with any questions. Hi, Stampers!     I have a new stencil (from Funky Fossils) and although that is not the name of the design, to me it screamed skyscrapers, urban, big city, etc.  I knew exactly how I wanted to use it and the The Paper Players Challenge 433 - One Layer Wonder - fit the bill, as well.      I sponged the stencil on Whisper White CS with Pacific Point and also thinly around the edges.  The "congrats" is die-cut from the Sale-a-Bration Grapefruit Grove Foil with the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits and the sentiment is from the Stampin' Up! set, Lift Me Up.  The card base is Grapefruit Grove CS. Hi, Stampers!      To some of us, lilies mean not just sympathy and Easter, but weddings.  What's great about this set, with just two sizes of one flower, is that you can use any color you like and customize your card to match the couple's wedding color scheme, which makes it an even more special keepsake.      Remember, this popular set is available only during Sale-A-Bration, as a Level 2 reward and it is now on Low Inventory.      I stamped the lilies in Flirty Flamingo ink using the Stamparatus, and the stems and leaves with Pear Pizzazz.  If you have the Lily Framelits, you can die-cut them or, they are easily hand-cut.  Unfortunately, the Framelits have just sold out.      The lacy cut-out on my Whisper White card front was made using Eastern Medallion Thinlits. Hello, Stampers!      Cloudy and gray yesterday; perfect for staying inside and playing with my stamps.  Let it Ride is a new set and I haven't used Barn Door in a while, soooo, what goes better with barns or stables than horses?       My barn wall is, of course, Wood Textures DSP - i couldn't get any easier than that.  The barn door (just cut in half) and mat are traditional Real Red, base is Very Vanilla.  I stamped the door in Early Espresso and also a few weeds or grains from Home to Roost at the bottom left. My chestnut Bay horse was stamped in Memento and colored with Dark Cajun Craze and Dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends.  The rope is just medium Baker's Twine.  Products are below.  Here's the inside. Hi, Stampers!      The above Inspire.Create.Challenges 038 Sketch Challenge was too simple for me to pass up.  I flipped it and used a piece of Whisper White Country Floral embossed card stock and added my cute squirrel friend from Fable Friends. Hi, Stampers!      Such a yucky day, so I sat down to play around with my new stamp set, Happy Tails (see it wag?), and it took off from there!  SU! sets work so well together, even with other, non-SU! items you might have around the house.  I used bits of 4 SU! stamp sets for this card.      I hadn't used the At Home With You set in some time, so I brought it out, along with A wreath from the Barn Door bundle, and the sentiment from Home to Roost!  I didn't want this door to be just flat, and I didn't want to put the sentiment inside the door, so I dug around and came across a stamp/die set I've had for some time from Taylored Expressions, and decided to put it to use inside the "house."  You could easily use DSP to make wallpaper, instead.      You can't tell unless you look really close, unfortunately, but I used the Pinewood Planks Dynamic TIEF, horizontally, for the house.  The door is cut from the Wood Textures DSP.

Hello, Stampers!      This is such a solid set for several "occasions."  There are sentiments for birthday, get well, tough times, encouragement, even a valentine.  I love puns, too, so this one's right up my alley.      I stamped the lemons on Glossy White CS and ran the top lemon through the Big Shot with the Softly Falling TIEF, rough side on top , to get a peel effect.  Pretty realistic, don't you think?  The leaves are stamped in Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive and all were punched out with the Lemon Builder Punch.  I added a bow of Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon, a Glitter Enamel Dot,wrapped the bottom edge in black pattern Washi-tape and stamped the envelope.  My inside sentiment says, "Chuck them right back!"  A quick little card with a big message.  Products below. Hi, Stampers!      The images in the SU! Fable Friends set are so like the adorable illustrations in Beatrix Potter books, and I love these little ducklings.  I kept thinking, "ducks in a row, ducks in a row..."  I decided the phrase was perfect for someone in our family trying to cope with a major life change and, voila!, I utilized my newly discovered (to me, anyway) method to add my own verse inside a card.  It sure opens up lots of possibilities!    I've listed products below, which is really all you need to know.  Everything else is pretty much standard.  The Shimmery White stitched rectangle is 2-3/8 x 3-5/8; the offset piece of Grapefruit Grove is 2-3/4 x 3-3/4.  One note of caution:  use markers , not Blends for coloring the mama goose on the inside of your card, because it might show through the back - take it from me.  ;-( Happy Stampin’! Hello, Stampers!      It's never too early to start on making favors when you have to make about 20 of them!  And when the Easter candy hits the shelves, I get started. Out of necessity, I always try to come up with something quick and easy to share. These little bags hold a dozen Easter "eggs" (by M&M's) and are tied with whatever thick or medium SU! Baker's twine I had laying around, or a narrow ribbon works great, too.      I used pieces of Gingham Gala DSP for the tags (p.35, OC) cut 2 x 4-1/2 and punched with the Tag Topper Punch and I rounded the corners.  I stamped the bunny and goose in Memento on WW card stock and colored just a few areas with Blends - clothes, ears, bill, feet - and die-cut with a scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies.  Stamped the sentiment in color or Memento.  Oval is added with liquid glue, the sentiment with a glue dot or Dimensionals. Hi, Stampers!      I love anything that looks like the night sky, the galaxy, the Northern Lights - and if I can get my hands on it, I have to use it for a card.  And now that I have learned how to print my own verses inside the card, the possibilities are endless - well, limited to my imagination, anyway.  I  came across this, what I thought was "Watercolor Nebula" DSP online, but it is Washi tape (by Altenew).  I had to have it, regardless.  It came in a roll (it's 7" wide!) and, of course, now I have way, way more than I can ever possibly use.      I just added a "happy" sentiment die-cut from SU! Galvanized Metallic Paper and offset another cut from Mango Melody and added a Mango Melody mat.  The "birthday" is from the SU!  Perennial Birthday set, punched out with the Classic Label Punch.  Perfect for a masculine birthday, too.  The version below is accented with a Gorgeous Grape mat and the Grapefruit Grove SAB Foil offset over SU!
