Hi, Stampers!
I hope you enjoy a pleasant Labor Day and that you have lovely weather for what is considered summer's last hurrah.  :-(   But, one good thing about September, besides that it's usually a beautiful month, it's Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog time!  The HC is open for business on Wednesday, September 4.   Okay, to this card...
I saw the original of this card on Pinterest by Debbie Henderson - I like hers better, but thought I'd share mine, anyway, 'cause it's still pretty, I think.  I don't think you can exactly duplicate with water-coloring - either you've got it (the talent) or you don't - I'm somewhere in between I think.
Anyway, click here or the photo for the details.  TFL

Happy Stampin’!

Hi, Stampers!
Another rainy day in the Indianapolis area - I feel sorry for the Mini-Marathon Runners and the Kentucky Derby fans and "runners," too, just south of us in Louisville.  Good day for stampin'!  I've just finished up the samples for next Saturday's Stamp Camp.
This card was inspired by a tutorial at FrenchieStamps and it really is quick.  Details below.

Happy Stampin’!
Sue Duffy ~

  • Shake some Brusho Crystal Colour* - remember you don't need much - onto a piece of Watercolor Card Stock, cut to 3 x 3-3/4. Use 2-3 colors, at most.  I used Prussian Blue and Yellow.  Spritz with a fair amount of water and with your Aqua Painter or a wet brush spread the color across the paper!  Let it dry - that's it!  If you want to dry with a heat gun, the color will lighten a little.
  • When your color-washed piece is completely dry, pat with your Embossing Buddy and stamp desired image from Dandelion Wishes in Versamark and emboss with Black Embossing Powder.  You can also emboss the black stamped "For you" if you like - I did not.  The "For you" is from the "Let it Ride" stamp set.
  • Adhere Watercolor CS to a piece of Whisper White 3-1/4 x 4.
  • Cut a strip of Granny Apple Green CS (or any color you like) 5-1/2 x 1-1/4 and run through any embossing folder you like - I used Seaside - and adhere to Blueberry Bushel card base.  Add Watercolor layers with Dimensionals and Floral Romance Seal.
*Brusho is retiring, but we will have Pigment Sprinkles in colors like Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Mango Melody, and Melon Mambo when the 2019-20 Annual Catalog goes live!  So, if you already have Brusho, you will have lots of colors to play with.

ALL THE GOOD THINGS - August Stamp Camp - the details

Hi, Stampers!
As promised in my July 14 post, here are the details for this card, one of the four created at Stamp Camp yesterday.  Let's get started.

Bermuda Bay card stock – 4-1/4 x 11, score at 5-1/2
Shimmery White - 3-1/2 x 5-1/2
Whisper White (for inside) - 5-1/4 x 4

·        Using the Stamparatus, arrange Shimmery White CS (on top of Silicone Mat, if desired) and stamps where desired on card front, ink up with Calypso Coral and stamp
·        Without removing CS or stamps, wipe off stamps with absorber/chamois and re-ink stamps with Versamark and stamp over existing images
·        Remove Shimmery White, add Clear EP and heat emboss
·        Using painter’s or other removable tape – Washi tape works fine – adhere Shimmery White CS to a rigid surface, board, etc. to help prevent excessive warping
·        Squeeze Bermuda Bay Pad to get color onto inside cover (use a drop of refill, if necessary), add quite a bit of water with your Aqua Painter and lightly dribble and dab here and there on background of Shimmery White card front.  Do the same with Coastal Cabana and, if desired, a little Blueberry Bushel.  Dry with low setting on heat tool.  Add card front to base, add Glitter Enamel Dots.  Decorate WW for inside as desired.
