NATURE'S BEAUTY MASCULINE BIRTHDAY

Hello, Stampers!
Veering away from the Christmas cards for this post; although with a change in color combination, it would be a perfect Christmas card  I'm so happy this set is not retiring when the Holiday Catalog ends!  This template is called the half door or half barn door.  It's very easy to make, so head to my blog to read more!

Happy Stampin’!

The card base is a quarter sheet of Terracotta Tile, 5-1/2 x 4-1/4.  The door is created with a 2-3/4 x 8-1/2 piece of Terracotta, scored at 4-1/4.  The "back" half of this piece is glued to the FRONT of the base with Liquid Multi Glue, which keeps the back of your card nice and neat.
Stamp the trees (twice, without reinking), "ground" and sun on a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Very Vanilla CS.  I used the Waterfront set for those.  Stamp your sentiment(s) at the bottom, being mindful of keeping them below the 2-3/4" "mark."  (I used the large Happy Birthday and Wishing you... sentiments from Perennial Birthday - my go-to set.)
The woodgrain panel is 2-1/2 x 4, cut from Pressed Petals DSP.  Stamp the deer and plants off to one side of a quarter sheet of Very Vanilla in Memento, Early Espresso or Soft Suede Ink - once it is dry, you can still gently color with Blends, even if you are not using Memento - but be sure to experiment, first.  Adhere 5-1/4 x 4 stamped piece to front of card under the front flap.
Die cut the deer image with the largest oval of the Stitched Shapes dies and then cut another one to add to the back to hide the Blends bleed-through.  Sponge around the plants, if desired, and adhere to front panel.
