COVID19.stampinup.com
Hello, Stampers!

This digital stamp set ($12, see more below) is packed with both lighthearted and thoughtful sentiments and imagery relevant to the unique COVID-19 and social distancing situation we are currently in. Aou can use the download in your cardmaking and papercrafting projects. Simply print the imagery on cardstock and cut it out using Stampin’ Up!’s Paper Trimmer, punches, or dies. Since we are physically distanced from each other, now is a perfect time to share sunshine with your friends and family by sending cards!  I just received mine.  There are even instructions telling you which punches, dies, etc., are compatible with the images on which pages!!

As part of Stampin’ Up!’s Making a Difference program, 100% of the Share Sunshine PDF Download proceeds will go to COVID-19 efforts through these organizations:
  • The World Health Organization’s COVID-Solidarity Response Fund
  • United Way Worldwide’s COVID-19 Community Response and Recovery Fund

ALCOHOL INKS - GULF BEACH FLYOVER

Hello, Everyone!

Hope you are keeping yourselves occupied during SAH and, most important, that you are still safe and healthy!

I have had more time to do some experimenting with some new-to-me art supplies - mainly alcohol inks.  This (to me) aerial view of a Gulf beach was, literally, my first attempt - I think it is beginner's luck - it was really pretty easy.  I was just experimenting and it was like, "Hey, this actually looks like what I had in mind!"  I would like to attempt a full-size one some day to hang, but haven't the nerve, yet.  On my original, the water is slightly deeper blue-green.

Anyway, if you'd like to know what I used (only a few supplies) and how I did it, leave a Comment on my blog.  I'll be happy to share, as much as I can remember.

Happy Crafting!

MORE CRAZY FUN - WATERCOLOR TO ALCOHOL - NO STAMPIN'

Hi, Stampers!

I came across my inspiration for these cute little "splotch" birds while marathon-watching YouTube tutorials for using alcohol inks.  However, these little guys popped up (watercolor) and I couldn't resist watching the video.  You can find the Amber K Creative video here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1H9Tnv2xUI&t=4s.

Since I've been practicing with alcohol inks, I created a version (nowhere near as cute as Amber K's) using alcohol inks on Yupo** paper.  But, I wanted to share here, because you can easily use SU! watercolor paper and ink refills!  The "details" are drawn with a Sharpie.  I haven't decided if I want to add a sentiment.  My first attempt is below.

Have fun!

CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THESE SWEET MEERKATS! and UNDER MY UMBRELLA BUNDLE

Hi, Stampers!

Another easy share for you.  I know SAB is over, but I also know The Gang's All Meer was a very popular FREE set, so thought I'd share another card; this time in combination with the Under My Umbrella Bundle.  Materials below.

Happy Stampin’!

NO APRIL SHOWERS HERE! - UNDER MY UMBRELLA BUNDLE

Hello, Stampers!

This template was inspired by a Pinterest post by Jini Merck, stampwithjini.com.  A simple wash background (on WW Thick CS), See A Silhouette DSP and Glossy CS for the rubber boots.  (I probably could have gone a little brighter on the DSP umbrella.)  The flowers and boots are fussy-cut and the sentiment was punched with circle punches and popped up with Dimensionals, with a little ribbon underneath.  Links to the products are below.

Hope you are staying inside, taking precautions and staying well.  Good excuse for some extra stamping and crafting.

Happy Stampin’!

STAY-AT-HOME EXPERIMENT - SANS STAMPING

Hi, Stampers!

I hope all of you are being very careful, obeying guidelines and are still safe and healthy.  Since our gym is closed, so no spin class, no Tai Chi class (I've been doing it at home),* no lunch group, no book club, no stamp camp this month, I've got time to PLAY with new stuff!!

The background on this "work of art" (I call it "Dark Before Dawn") was created on Yupo paper with Ranger Alcohol Inks (Tim Holtz):  Dandelion, Indigo, Coral and a tiny bit of Silver Mixative.  The flowers silhouette was simply die cut from Basic Black CS with the SU! Friendly Silhouettes Dies.

What have you been doing?

Happy Crafting!
