IT'S NEVER TOO EARLY TO START PREPARING FOR CHRISTMAS! and STAMPIN' UPDATES and TIPS

Hello, Stampers!
Some of you are probably surprised to hear from me because right now we are supposed to be in Nova Scotia on a tour.  Long story short, hurricane Dorian resulted in our flight to Halifax from Toronto being cancelled on Saturday, and I wasn't able to book flights for Sunday before they were sold out, although I'm not sure if they would have flown as scheduled, either.
Anyway, above is a little stop-motion video to nudge you toward deciding what you'd like to create for the holidays, because we know it's never too early to start if you want to create your own holiday cards!  No, I haven't forgotten about Fall and Thanksgiving.  ;-)
Speaking of creating, Paper Pumpkin usually has some great Fall and Christmas ideas to speed things along.  (I hope you were able to sign up for your PP Halloween treats kit this month!)

REMINDER - How to Use the New 3D (Blue) Embossing Plate

The new plate makes up the difference in measurement between the old-style Dynamic Embossing Folders and the new-style 3D Folders in 21 mm gap machines (similar to the Big Shot). The 3D Embossing Folder Plate replaces the Standard Cutting Pads in your 3D embossing folder sandwich for continued high-quality emboss results.
To create your emboss sandwich:
  • Use a die-cutting/embossing machine platform as a base. No matter which machine* you’re using, use the standard platform that comes with your machine.
  • Use the 3D Embossing Folder with your paper in the middle.
  • Then use the 3D Embossing Folder Plate on top.
*Given the differences in machines and platforms, you may still have to add a shim to get your desired embossing results.  I usually use a 6x8 piece of Window Sheet, if necessary, but you can also try a piece of cardstock - experiment to arrive at what works best for you and your machine.
STAMPIN' NEWS
  • Except for the three below, the carryover Embossing Folders are now available in the new 3D style:
    • Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder
    • Layered Leaves 3D Embossing Folder
    • Tufted 3D Embossing Folder
  • SU! will continue to use up the old-style inventory on carryover dies and standard embossing folders and once that is depleted, they’ll be sold in the new style.
  • SU! is continuing development on a new die-cutting/embossing machine, and it’s going well!  It will be quite some time, though, before there is more information to share.

 Happy Stampin’!
