ALCOHOL INKS - GULF BEACH FLYOVER

Image
Hello, Everyone! Hope you are keeping yourselves occupied during SAH and, most important, that you are still safe and healthy! I have had more time to do some experimenting with some new-to-me art supplies - mainly alcohol inks.  This (to me) aerial view of a Gulf beach was, literally, my first attempt - I think it is beginner's luck - it was really pretty easy.  I was just experimenting and it was like, "Hey, this actually looks like what I had in mind!"  I would like to attempt a full-size one some day to hang, but haven't the nerve, yet.  On my original, the water is slightly deeper blue-green. Anyway, if you'd like to know what I used (only a few supplies) and how I did it, leave a Comment on my blog.  I'll be happy to share, as much as I can remember. Happy Crafting! Wet some large cotton balls (1 for each color) with rubbing alcohol (70% is fine) and add a drop of refill to each of Calypso Coral, Lovely Lipstick and Gorgeous Grape.  Lightly wipe or drag each color across the Glossy CS until you've achieved the look you want.  Try to avoid puddling and don't hesitate to practice on some Glossy CS scraps.  The cotton balls will stay wet for a while. When the glossy is dry, using the Stamparatus , stamp the galloping ho
