PAINTED GLASS IRIS - FRESHLY MADE SKETCHES Challenge #363

Image
Hi, Stampers!      Above is my submission for FMS Challenge #363.  Here is the template.  Read on.      I've been wanting to make something with the pretty irises in the Graceful Glass Vellum paper stack and, since the panel is long and narrow, this sketch fit the bill.  My irises panel is full card length, but I think that will still be acceptable.  Then, what to use for the accent strip.  I looked through all of my current DSP and found this "marble" pattern in the Petal Promenade DSP - perfect - stained glass and marble.     The only other adjustment I made to the sketch is that I trimmed my card front at 3-1/4" and added the DSP strip to the exposed inside of the card.  Not sure if you can tell that from the photo. Happy Stampin’! Sue Duffy ~ mandsduffy@comcast.net Products I used Graceful Glass 6" X 6" (15.2 X 15.X Cm) Designer Vellum [ 146344 ] Highland Heather 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [ 146986 ]

Hello, Stampers!      I must start by giving credit where it is due to Tracy Elsom (SU! Demo in Nova Scotia) for this wonderful idea for this vellum pattern.  As usual, I did change a couple of things - I changed the sentiment and added an additional sailboat.  Let's get started! Measurements Thick White CS - scored horizontally or vertically Whisper White CS - 2 x 5-1/2 Bermuda Bay CS - 2-1/4 x 5-1/2; 1-5/8 x 2-3/4 (for sentiment_ Graceful Glass Vellum in wave pattern - 2 x 5-1/2 Shimmery White CS - enough for sailboats and sentiment Instructions Color wave pattern vellum all over with Dark Pool Party Blends - I used two layers of color Color sections where desired with Dark Bermuda Bay and Light Night of Navy Blends Lightly sponge liquid glue onto 2" WW strip and attach vellum; adhere these layers to 2-1/4" Bermuda Bay piece and then add to card front Stamp sailboats from Lilypad Lake onto Shimmery White CS with Memento ink and color with Blends as des

VIBRANT GRACEFUL GLASS VELLUM FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Image
Hi, Stampers!      It's been a while since I've posted, I know.  I've been working on a scrapbook of our London and Paris trip this summer and as one who does not scrapbook (only one previous scrapbook, ever), it has been quite the project!  See what I mean?   How do you reduce 245 photos to a reasonably-sized scrapbook?!  LOL  There's a whole stack of photos still in my office!      Anyway, let's get to this Graceful Glass Vellum holiday/Christmas card.  The colors didn't show up as vibrant as I would have liked in this photo. The measurements are the same as the card we made at September Stamp Camp (posted Sept. 8). So let's get started!     Send me an email for a FREE project sheet. Sue Duffy ~ mandsduffy@comcast.net Measurements Very Vanilla Thick CS (you could use any color you like) - 4-1/4 x 11, score at 5-1/2, small scrap for sentiment "label" Whisper White - 3-1/4"- 3-1/2" square Wood Textures DSP - 3-1/2"

DOUBLE-FRAMED STAIN GLASS "WINDOW " - September Stamp Camp

Hi, Stampers!      If you missed Stamp Camp today, here's one of the - not as tedious as it looks - cards we created.  Last month, I saw a version of this framed stained glass idea on France Martin's blog (Frenchiestamps.com) and knew I had to attempt it.  It was easier than I thought, especially since I changed up and/or eliminated several steps and enlarged France's measurements a little to make it easier.  So, let's get started! Sue Duffy ~ mandsduffy@comcast.net Measurements Very Vanilla Thick CS (you could use any color you like) - 4-1/4 x 11, score at 5-1/2, scrap large enough to cut oval for sentiment and small die cut for inside, approx 3 x 2 Whisper White - 3-1/4"- 3-1/2" square Wood Textures DSP - 3-1/2" square and a second piece 3" or 3-1/4" square (3-1/4" will provide a wider top frame Graceful Glass Vellum - I used one 3x3 from a 6x6 sheet

THE GRACEFUL GLASS SUITE

Image
All images © Stampin' Up!® Hi, Stampers!      This week Stampin' Up! is highlighting the Graceful Glass Suite, and if you click the image above, you will be transported to YouTube for a short, informative video (if I added the link correctly, that is).  🙏  I've ordered the bundle (Painted Glass stamp set and Stained Glass Thinlits - saving 10%) and the Graceful Glass 6x6 Designer Vellum, and they're on their way to me now. 😊  There are several super ideas for the suite on p.164 in your Annual Catalog and tons of great ideas online.  Many ways to color (or not) and to die-cut or emboss with the Thinlits - the possibilities are endless.  Take a few minutes to check out the video and move on to Pinterest, Splitcoaststampers, etc.  Of course, we know how that goes - better allow more than a few minutes.  I'm just sayin'.       Looking forward to seeing some of you at Stamp Camp this Saturday! Happy Stampin'! Sue Duffy ~ mandsduffy@comcast.net
