Hello, Stampers! Aren't these face masks adorable?  Well I could have picked a prettier pattern for the second one, but I get so stingy with my time that if I'm experimenting and it turns out, it's going on a card!  LOL  I imagine you've seen them different places on the Net, but here is a link to the video that taught me - they really are pretty easy.  Lisa Fleming,  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBzo_zxdOnk&list=LL5V72yr7nEvrjYqurV6TT_Q&index=25&t=100s I do have a couple of photos and measurements for you, some suggestions and hints, so be sure to click "Read in browser" or "Read below" for those. I'M A SUCKER FOR GALAXIES - Non-SU! BIRTHDAY CARD SHARE

Image
Hi, Stampers!      I love anything that looks like the night sky, the galaxy, the Northern Lights - and if I can get my hands on it, I have to use it for a card.  And now that I have learned how to print my own verses inside the card, the possibilities are endless - well, limited to my imagination, anyway.  I  came across this, what I thought was "Watercolor Nebula" DSP online, but it is Washi tape (by Altenew).  I had to have it, regardless.  It came in a roll (it's 7" wide!) and, of course, now I have way, way more than I can ever possibly use.      I just added a "happy" sentiment die-cut from SU! Galvanized Metallic Paper and offset another cut from Mango Melody and added a Mango Melody mat.  The "birthday" is from the SU!  Perennial Birthday set, punched out with the Classic Label Punch.  Perfect for a masculine birthday, too.  The version below is accented with a Gorgeous Grape mat and the Grapefruit Grove SAB Foil offset over SU! VOILA - VINTAGE, MUCH LOVED RETIRED SU! STAMP - CASology: Week 317

Image
Hi, Stampers!       The CASology theme for Week 317 is "menu."  This is my first-time submission and I don't even know if it will be accepted because of the age of this stamp set.  It is an SU! set called "Voila" and it is one of only a few retired sets that I will not part with - it is at least  10 years old.  Do any of you long-timers remember it?  Leave a comment if you do.       I used Memento ink for the main image and a combination of Stampin' Write Markers and Stampin' Blends for the small amount of coloring.  Just a simple, 1/16" of black mat showing on a white card base. That's it! Happy Stampin’! Sue Duffy ~ mandsduffy@comcast.net All images ©Stampin’ Up!®

Hello, Stampers!      I must start by giving credit where it is due to Tracy Elsom (SU! BONUS DAYS COUPONS and TIMELESS TIDINGS PROJECT KIT

Hello, Stampers!      As you can tell from yesterday's post, I'm still  working on my subject line issues.  Aaaaargh!        So, if today's post subject line is messed up, I'm hoping you all know enough to open it anyway because it's just to remind you that you only have two days to redeem the coupons you earned in August.      Also, the Timeless Tidings Project Kit is now on backorder   (#148028 $20 stamp set 148936 $20 CM p.33 HC ).  If you want to get on the list, you can still order it and it should be available at the end of October.  Still plenty of time to get your cards made because it is super easy to use.  It is a lovely kit (we used it the other day) and my cards  Sue Duffy ~ mandsduffy@comcast.net All images ©Stampin’ Up!® are done!

SU! COUNTRY HOME, TWO FOR TUESDAY

Image
COUNTRY HOME WITH TIN TILE COUNTRY HOME WITH BUFFALO CHECK Hello, Stampers!       Thought I'd share the fruits of my play time this weekend with my new goodies from the Holiday Catalog.  With the exception of the "walls," there aren't many obvious differences between them.  My milk can is supposed to look like it's standing on the wood plank floor - does it?      A couple of notes:  I colored the cattails with Copper Shimmer Paint and the cotton on the other card with Frost White Shimmer Paint, and on each added a little Wink of Stella here and there.  Let's get started. Measurements (same for each card unless noted) Thick White Card Stock base; score at 5-1/2 for vertical or 4-1/4 for horizontal card Balmy Blue Card Stock base for Tin Tile card, 5-1/4 x 4 piece for inside Whisper or Shimmery White scraps for milk can and flower arrangement (and for sentiment on Buffalo Check card) 4 x 5-1/4 Daffodil Delight Card Stock for mat on B

CAN"T WAIT TO TRY THIS DYNAMIC TIEF WITH THE COUNTRY LANE SUITE FOR FALL

Image
Images © Stampin' Up!® Hello, Stampers!      Where have you seen this pattern before?  Look up!  Is there a tin ceiling in one of your favorite restaurants?  I know of at least one here in Mooresville,  I love this Dynamic Embossing Folder, Tin Tile.  It is great with regular cardstock, foils and, especially with the tin-look Galvanized Metallic Paper on p.43 in the Holiday Catalog.   (I don't generally spray my cardstock first, as shown in the video above, and  it seems fine - try using an acetate shim instead.)      Here's a little $-saving tip for you:  Do you still have SU!'s Brushed Silver, Gold or Copper cardstock from years ago?  The Brushed Silver especially provides a very similar look to the new Galvanized Metallic Paper!  I'm looking forward to experimenting with it, the Country Home stamp set (perfect for Thanksgiving) and the Chicken Wire!  Stay tuned. THE GRACEFUL GLASS SUITE

Image
All images © Stampin' Up!® Hi, Stampers!      This week Stampin' Up! is highlighting the Graceful Glass Suite, and if you click the image above, you will be transported to YouTube for a short, informative video (if I added the link correctly, that is).  🙏  I've ordered the bundle (Painted Glass stamp set and Stained Glass Thinlits - saving 10%) and the Graceful Glass 6x6 Designer Vellum, and they're on their way to me now. 😊  There are several super ideas for the suite on p.164 in your Annual Catalog and tons of great ideas online.  Many ways to color (or not) and to die-cut or emboss with the Thinlits - the possibilities are endless.  Take a few minutes to check out the video and move on to Pinterest, Splitcoaststampers, etc.  Of course, we know how that goes - better allow more than a few minutes.  I'm just sayin'.       Looking forward to seeing some of you at Stamp Camp this Saturday! Happy Stampin'! Sue Duffy ~ mandsduffy@comcast.net

QUICK & EASY ARTISTICALLY ASIAN

Hi, Stampers!      Just two things before we get started on this card:  I apologize if I got you excited for the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog and that you could order on September 1 in my last post.  That was incorrect.  The effective date of the HC is September 5 .. Second, don't forget, S tamp Camp is next Saturday, August 25 !  Once again, I will have projects sheets for you!  Please don't forget to RSVP by the end of the day Monday.  Thanks!  Now, on to our card.      Some of the patterns in the Share What You Love Specialty DSP felt oriental to me, so I decided to pair one of them with the Artistically Asian stamp set.  I've added a close-up so you can see the lovely pearl satin sheen on the flowers.  Four of the patterns in this pack have pearl/satin accents.        Unfortunately, some of the cards we need the fastest are sympathy, get-well and thank you, and Artistically Asian works for all.  Click on the images below to view the the DSP and included sentime
