EASY CARD FRONT WITH STAMPIN' UP! PETALS WASHI AND SPECIALTY DSP

Image
Hi, Stampers!    This lovely card was so easy to create.  The 3-1/2 x 5 top layer is a section of one of the sheets in the Pressed Petals Specialty DSP (12 x 12).  This particular page is sectioned off into gorgeous photographic florals and backgrounds that are perfect for card fronts and scrapbook pages.  I made the 3D flowers accents on this particular floral wreath piece of DSP from the Pressed Petals Specialty Washi Tape in the Annual Catalog (p.172).  How-to photos here. STAMPIN' UP! SAILING HOME THROUGH STORMY SEAS

Image
Hello, Stampers!      The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this particular pattern in the wonderfully colorful See a Silhouette Designer Series Paper, was a storm at sea.  So... I grabbed my Sailing Home Bundle because it is perfect for that theme, but I also made a second one using the sentiment, "Let hope be your lighthouse..." from the High Tide set.   Read more of this post. STAMPIN' UP!'S BACK ON YOUR FEET FOR BEGINNERS CARD BUFFET

Image
Hello, Stampers!      I hope you are able to stay reasonably cool during this miserable heat wave.  It looks like it might break overnight here in Indiana - I emphasize the word might.  I have used this good excuse to stay indoors to begin preparing for a card-making "outing" a professional friend of mine has planned for her staff early in August.  Each year the office closes for a day and she plans and treats her staff to a surprise outing - last year they did goat Yoga!  This class will certainly be a far cry from that.  They will do something outdoors for part of the day and then to my house - they have never stamped!          I pre-stamped all of the images for these note cards (based on cards shared on Pinterest by Amy Koendors, using the Scalloped Note Cards).  My group will stamp their own sentiments and, of course, color and assemble.  I even pre-tied the bows and, per a tip from my upline, attached them to a strip of glue dots! STAMPIN' UP!'S COUNTRY ROAD IN COPPER

Image
Hi, Stampers!      Stampers at my July camp could make either one of these cards and could also reverse mat colors, etc.  However, all of the weather vanes are heat embossed with Copper EP.       On the focal point piece, the light backgrounds were stamped, then we used the Embossing Buddy before stamping with Versamark and heat embossing.   The feint backgrounds are from the Gallery Grunge set and stamped with Crumb Cake Ink, some stamped off first. The stars on the card on the right are stamped in Balmy Blue, stamped off, first.  The sentiment is in Early Espresso.      The focal points are 3 x 2-1/4 WW Thick CS.  The colored CS is Pool Party and Early Espresso.  The focal point is lightly sponged around the edge with Crumb Cake and the white mat with Balmy Blue.
