HEALING HUGS - November 10 Stamp Camp

Image
Hello, Stampers!      Here's a sneak peek at one of the cards we'll be making at Stamp Camp November 10.  Color inspiration for this card was from Mackenzie Fuchs, a fellow SU! demo. The flowers and leaves in this set are part of Stampin' Up!'s new Distinktive stamps that were introduced this year in the Annual Catalog.  You can watch a short video about how they are made here:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QF5VHPlkScQ    Happy Stampin’! LESS IS MORE CHALLENGE #383 - DIMENSION - BRUSHO on BUBBLE WRAP

Image
Hello, Stampers!      This is my entry for the Less Is More #383 Challenge - "Dimension."  I thought about doing a simple embossing folder background, but then thought about this easy, colorful technique I played around with when SU! first started carrying Brusho.  For this card, I used  4 of the 5 colors of Brusho from Stampin' Up!:  Prussian Blue, Brilliant Red, Gamboge (mostly orange with yellow), and Moss Green.  I hope this fun background is not too "busy" for the Less Is More team!  Here's the technique; it's pretty simple and you can find video tutorials on YouTube: Brusho can be messy, so you should probably lay down scrap paper, wax paper, or a silicone baking sheet. On a piece of the smaller size bubble wrap - bubbles up - (you might be able to see it above), cut larger than your desired background piece (my watercolor paper on this card is 3 x 4-1/2"), lightly sprinkle one or two colors of Brusho or use as many as you like!

LOVELY AS A TREE in the Moonlight - AAAcards Game #126

Image
Hi, Stampers!      Whenever I think of "moonlight," the current challenge on AAACards, I think of trees and especially Lovely as a Tree.  I came across this challenge site -  AAAcards.blogspot.com .  I really like Clean And Simple cards, but I often have trouble paring them down, so I enter a CAS challenge once in a while for some practice, although so many of the samples I see posted there are by stampers much more talented and imaginative than me.      The sentiment is from Rooted in Nature and the trees, of course, are from Lovely as a Tree - a must in anyone's stamp collection - at least in my opinion.  The mask for the moon was made with the 1-1/2" Circle Punch.
