I came across my inspiration for these cute little "splotch" birds while marathon-watching YouTube tutorials for using alcohol inks. However, these little guys popped up (watercolor) and I couldn't resist watching the video. You can find the Amber K Creative video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1H9Tnv2xUI&t=4s.
Since I've been practicing with alcohol inks, I created a version (nowhere near as cute as Amber K's) using alcohol inks on Yupo** paper. But, I wanted to share here, because you can easily use SU! watercolor paper and ink refills! The "details" are drawn with a Sharpie. I haven't decided if I want to add a sentiment. My first attempt is below.

**Have some alcohol inks you want to play with, but no Yupo or other specialty paper? You can use the BACK side of Kodak Photo Paper you might have on hand for your printer. ;-) I enlarged this image - you might even be able to see the "Kodak" in the background!
