STENCILED BACKGROUND BLOOM

Image
Hi, Stampin' Friends -     Yet another colorful "Bloom" dies card.  This time with a colorful, sponge stenciled background, as well.  This one is my favorite, so far - colors and patterns.  I added a little dimension with " Dimensionals under the leaf and the flower center.  I decided to stamp the sentiment on the front and leave the inside blank, except for a flower stamped on the inside from the retired Painted Harvest set by Stampin' Up!.     Supplies below.  Remember, stay curious! CORRUGATED COLOR and TEXTURE

Image
Hello, again -     I mentioned in my previous post that I love creating with color.  I also love textures!  The background on this Blossom card is a piece of brown corrugated paper packing material.  I used a bright gold ink pad, direct-to-paper to accentuate the raised areas and along the edges of my card base before adhering the corrugated piece - not easy to see on the photo.     The inside sentiment says:  "May the joy of simple things COLOR your life."  Supplies below. Remember, "Imagination has no age." Stampin' Sue

PLAYING WITH COLOR - NEW STAMPIN' "TOOLS"

Image
Hello, fellow stamping (and other) friends!     It's been so long since I posted anything here, I'm not sure I remember how to do it correctly.  But here goes.     As some of you know, I love color and working with color.  I came across lots of beautifully colored samples on Pinterest using these fairly new dies by Sizzix for Tim Holtz and, although I had tried  not to purchase any new stamping items before February, I couldn't resist - I'm too easily inspired - and I know many of you can relate.  Below is a list of the supplies I used for this card.  I'm planning to do a few more, for sure.     Remember, stay curious!     Stampin' Sue

EASTER FUN

Image
Hey, Stampers -      I wish I could say these bunny ears were my idea, but I saw a similar idea on Pinterest, here .  Of course, I had to change it up to hiding bunnies. I used the large Daisy punch for the ears.  I'll probably add some bling to the background - sequins, pearls, SU! Fun Flowers Resin Shapes, etc., any would be cute.  The greeting is from DRS Designs.     If you don't have the fringe-cutting scissors, it really looks just as cute, and a little faster to make, with just a couple of layers of curved-edge cardstock with the bunnies tucked in between. You can also use just about any embossing folder for the background - I just happened to have this pre-embossed piece of So Saffron in my scraps basket. Cardstock is SU!: Highland Heather, Balmy Blue, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz.  Happy Stampin’! Sue Duffy ~ mandsduffy@comcast.net

IT'S JUST YOU AND ME, VALENTINE.

Hello, again, stampin' friends.     This simple card can also be used as an anniversary or even BFF card. First, on watercolor cardstock, using Stampin' Up! ink pads and the Aqua Painter (now called Water Painters), I created a washed landscape-type background.  The trees are from the Snowfront SU! stamp set, stamped in Gorgeous Grape.       I die cut a heart "window" with an older SU! hearts die set on white cardstock and mounted it over the watercolor background piece.  I stamped the rabbits with Versafine Clair Nocturne (black) ink and the hearts with red.  Rabbits:  Lavinia Stamps Wild Hares (large) set.
