STAMPIN' UP! ART GALLERY Bundle on EASY, DISTRESS INK/GEL PRESS BACKGROUND

Image
Hi, Stampers -     Just a quick post with the Art Gallery Bundle.  The background layer is just simply distress ink, brayered on a Gel Press, then splashed with a little water and Prussian Blue Brusho (very little Brusho), using a fan brush, and then lifting a print.  I die-cut the layer with the largest of the Stitched Rectangles dies.  Flowers and leaves were stamped onto Shimmery White CS.  SU! supplies are below. ART GALLERY - 2021 Pantone Colors

Image
Hello, Stampers!     Today's card utilizes what are allegedly the top Pantone colors for 2021 - yellow and gray - which I am very fond of, actually.      I stamped the background on this card with Smoky Slate and Daffodil Delight, using an Altenew stamp set called Halftone Circles.  The Art Gallery flowers are Daffodil Delight, with the 2nd step in So saffron and Wink of Stella added over the 2nd step areas only.  I used a Basic Gray marker for the stems and leaf (I think I should have stuck with Smoky Slate).  I would suggest using Shimmery White for your flowers.  I didn't, and I'm a little disappointed.   The circle is cut with the largest of the Stitched Shapes dies.  The sentiment and scalloped sentiment die are part of the Art Gallery Bundle.  I added a few Basic Pearls and a Basic Gray mat. PAINTED ART GALLERY

Image
Hello, Stampers!     This card was created with the Art Gallery Bundle and Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder, the first items I purchased from the Stampin' Up! January-June 2021 Mini Catalog.  They are featured as part of the Fine Art Floral Suite (pp.32-33.)  Two things inspired my purchase:  to me, the flowers look like peonies, which I love, and I also love images that look hand-painted.  I also liked the bold sentiment die, which comes out in three pieces, so it's easy to use just one or all of them.  Below are the products I used.  The Painted Texture embossed layer is 5-1/4 x 4, the same color as the Pool Party base and added with just 4 glue dots so that it is just slightly raised. STAMPIN' UP! QUEEN ANNE'S LACE IN PLAID

Image
Hi, Stampers!      The stamp set used here is Queen Anne’s Lace (p. 135 in the Annual Catalog).  Since it is in the AC, maybe you will get 10% off if you decide to order it on Tuesday.       The card base is Mango Melody.  The image was stamped in Versamark on Melon Mambo CS and embossed with White EP.  The rectangle was cut with one of the Stitched Rectangles dies.  The background is one of my favorite color combinations from the Plaid Tidings DSP Pack.  Perfect for brightening someone's day.  The embellishments are from the 2020-22 In Color Enamel Dots.  The ribbon is retired – White Flax – but any wide ribbon would work. FALLEN LEAVES - SU! LOVE OF LEAVES

Image
Hello, Stampers!     This card was to be one of my November Stamp Camp projects - the camp that never was.  The template/sketch is certainly too clever to be my idea - it was inspired by Jaydee of jaydeestamping.com - but, as usual, I did change it up a little.      The base and top layers are both Very Vanilla Thick CS.  You can see beneath the leaves a layer of Seaside Spray CS adhered to the front of the base.  I used the largest scalloped oval die from the Layering Ovals set to cut the oval and popped up that layer with scraps of  Foam Adhesive Sheets we used at last stamp camp, so it didn’t sag anywhere.

SENDING [YOU] SUNSHINE with STAMPIN' UP!

Image
Hello, Stampers!     It's a cold and dreary October day here in Indiana, so I thought I'd share a little sunshine.  This is one of the cards from my October Stamp Camp. This set makes "painting" a lovely water scene pretty darned easy.     The water is stamped with Balmy Blue, stamped off first, and not stamped off for the deeper section onto a precut piece of Shimmery White card stock.  The sentiment and the little darker "island" image are Balmy Blue.  The sun was stamped with Mango Melody and the leaves with Granny Apple Green. We used a circle punch to make a stencil and add the extra light around the sun with a sponge dauber.  Wink of Stella was brushed over the water.     T he DSP is from the Artistry Blooms pack.  Use any ribbon you like and add some enamel dots or sequins of your choice and you're done.  Products links are below.  Happy Stampin’! WAY TO GOAT by STAMPIN' UP! - TWO FOR ONE!

Image
Hey, Stampers -     Here are two more cards from my October Stamp Camp.  You get two cards with one run through your Big Shot or Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine!  Special thanks to The Stamp Doc (Melissa Stout) for her YouTube video tutorial, from which I learned how to use the Playful Alphabet Dies to make these fun cards, with my own take, of course - like "U 've goat mail" instead of "You goat mail."  Also, we used Rainbow Glimmer Paper instead of DSP.  Here is the link to the video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCv9tT_VAUM&t=3s   Be sure to give Melissa's video a 👍.  The goats are popped up on little wobblies springs.      There are several steps involved and it can  be a bit tedious, but everyone was successful in completing their cards.  I created a template for the letters once I had them lined up the way I wanted - just ran them through the Big Shot with scrap card stock.  You will understand more after watching the video.
