The Silver Stamper

Hi, Stampers!      Today's inspiration is the Northern Lights.  It's a simple sponging technique and there are some videos online.  I tried to recreate what I call the "curtain" type of Lights.  I Googled images of the Lights online and went from there.  The Lights are perfect for coordinating with the Mountain Air Bundle, which will be carried over, but not at a 10% bundle discount.       I used Mossy Meadow ink on Mossy Meadow CS for the tree line,  stamped off once. Hello, Everyone! Hope you are keeping yourselves occupied during SAH and, most important, that you are still safe and healthy! I have had more time to do some experimenting with some new-to-me art supplies - mainly alcohol inks.  This (to me) aerial view of a Gulf beach was, literally, my first attempt - I think it is beginner's luck - it was really pretty easy.  I was just experimenting and it was like, "Hey, this actually looks like what I had in mind!"  I would like to attempt a full-size one some day to hang, but haven't the nerve, yet.  On my original, the water is slightly deeper blue-green. Hi, Stampers! I came across my inspiration for these cute little "splotch" birds while marathon-watching YouTube tutorials for using alcohol inks.  However, these little guys popped up (watercolor) and I couldn't resist watching the video.  You can find the Amber K Creative video here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1H9Tnv2xUI&t=4s . Since I've been practicing with alcohol inks, I created a version (nowhere near as cute as Amber K's) using alcohol inks on Yupo ** paper.  But, I wanted to share here, because you can easily use SU! watercolor paper and ink refills!  The "details" are drawn with a Sharpie.  I haven't decided if I want to add a sentiment.  My first attempt is below. Hello, Stampers! This template was inspired by a Pinterest post by Jini Merck, stampwithjini.com.  A simple wash background (on WW Thick CS), See A Silhouette DSP and Glossy CS for the rubber boots.  (I probably could have gone a little brighter on the DSP umbrella.)  The flowers and boots are fussy-cut and the sentiment was punched with circle punches and popped up with Dimensionals, with a little ribbon underneath.  Links to the products are below. Hi, Stampers! I hope all of you are being very careful, obeying guidelines and are still safe and healthy.  Since our gym is closed, so no spin class, no Tai Chi class (I've been doing it at home),* no lunch group, no book club, no stamp camp this month, I've got time to PLAY with new stuff!! The background on this "work of art" (I call it "Dark Before Dawn") was created on Yupo paper with Ranger Alcohol Inks (Tim Holtz):  Dandelion, Indigo, Coral and a tiny bit of Silver Mixative.  The flowers silhouette was simply die cut from Basic Black CS with the SU!
