Hey, Stampers!
As promised, I just tried the stencil-water-emboss technique with Stampin' Up! Rich Razzleberry ink and one of our Decorative Masks. I believe it worked just as well as the Distress Ink. It's not as easy to apply our ink evenly direct-to-paper, so I also tried it with a rubber brayer - many coats (top photo). My inked piece is more evenly colored (if that's what you want), but I am impressed with the top, transfer piece especially.
I might have sprayed too much water on my direct-to-paper piece and so the color ran under the stencil, OR, which is very possible, my Big Shot is a decade old, probably more* and I believe the pressure might no longer be even all around, because I see some unevenness in the top photo, as well. Hmmm - time for the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine?
There you have it, let me know if you have any questions.
*Not sure when SU! started selling them - I've been a demo for 18 years!
Happy Stampin’!
