GORGEOUS PANSY PATCH

Hi'ya, Stampers!

This Pansy Patch card was inspired by a Jo Blackman video tutorial on masking.  You can find it here. Jo is a talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in the UK.  I switched the colors on my version and added the Gingham Gala DSP (retired).

Lots of masking on this card but, remember, you can use them again.  Don't throw them away, even when they are filled with ink.  I hand-cut 3 of the solid image, smaller pansy and about 5 leaves.

My card face is, of course, Shimmery White, cut to 4-7/8 x 3-5/8, so that more of the gingham would show.  My pansies are stamped in Gorgeous Grape and Fresh Freesia.  The pansy "faces" are stamped in Blackberry Bliss, and the leaves are Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent.  My flower centers are stamped in Crushed Curry.  The sentiment is heat embossed in white on Evening Evergreen cardstock.  There is a little Gorgeous Grape spatter in the backround, using the water pen.  The sequins are Gingham Gala sequins (retired).  Any bling will do!

Jo offered a great tip for stamping your pansies and leaves - stamp darker, detail/outline stamps first, then the lighter color solid images.  It works beautifully every time with this set.

Happy Stampin’!
