A DIFFERENT SORT OF GRADUATION CARD - LEFTOVER SU! BOTANICAL BUTTERFLY DSP (SALE-A-BRATION) and SOME FAVORITE RETIRED STUFF

Hello, Stampers!
I've had this idea in my head for some time and decided it would make a good congrats or graduation card - a little something different.  Here's the inside - the text is just printed on a label in Word.  Details are on my blog - just click "Read in browser >>," below.

Happy Stampin’!

Details
  • As you can see, the card  base is Basic Black and the mat layers are Balmy Blue (5-1/4 x 4) and Grapefruit Grove (5 x 3-3/4).  The Botanical Butterfly DSP (free during SAB) is 4-7/8 x 3-5/8.  I wrapped some Black Shimmer Ribbon (retired) around those three layers and taped at the back.  Any black or white ribbon will suffice (you don't want to distract from the "standout" butterfly).
  • With the Butterfly Duet punch, I punched out a butterfly from another of the DSP patterns.*  However, I decided it was not quite as vivid as I would have liked, so I played around and re-colored it with Blends and markers, then popped it up on Dimensionals and added some Black Rhinestones to the body and a little Wink of Stella here and there.  Remember, rhinestones can be colored with Stampin' Blends!

    * I would suggest that if you have the Butterfly Gala Bundle or stamp set, that you stamp a butterfly with Memento black and punch or cut it out and color it as bright as you want.
  • The Happy Graduation" is stamped in Versamark and embossed with White EP on a scrap of black CS and also popped up with Dimensionals.  The inside sentiment was created in Word on my laptop and printed onto a sheet of address labels, attached to a scrap of WW CS and punched with the Classic Label Punch.  The card can be signed with gold, silver, or white Gel pen,
